Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

• Pickup from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Moshi/Arusha.

• Pre-trek briefing and equipment check.

• Overnight stay at a comfortable lodge/hotel.

Day 2: Umbwe Gate (1,640m) – Umbwe Cave Camp (2,850m)

• Drive to Umbwe Gate (approximately 1.5 hours).

• Trek through dense rainforest with steep ascents (approx. 5-6 hours).

• Dinner and overnight stay at Umbwe Cave Camp.

Day 3: Umbwe Cave Camp (2,850m) – Barranco Camp (3,950m)

• Steep ascent through heather and moorland zones.

• Join the Machame Route at Barranco Camp.

• Overnight stay at Barranco Camp.

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3,950m) – Karanga Camp (4,035m) (Optional acclimatization day)

• Climb the Barranco Wall for stunning views.

• Short trek to Karanga Camp for acclimatization (4-5 hours).

• Overnight stay at Karanga Camp.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (4,035m) – Barafu Camp (4,673m)

• Trek through alpine desert landscape.

• Early dinner and rest in preparation for summit push.

• Overnight stay at Barafu Camp.

Day 6: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)

• Midnight ascent to the summit (Uhuru Peak) for sunrise views.

• Descend to Mweka Camp for rest.

• Overnight stay at Mweka Camp.

Day 7: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate (1,640m) – Moshi/Arusha

• Final descent to Mweka Gate.

• Certificate presentation and transfer back to hotel.

• Celebration dinner and overnight stay in Moshi/Arusha.

Day 8: Departure (Optional)

• Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport or continue with optional excursions (safari, Zanzibar, cultural tours).
