Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to an eco-lodge in Moshi or Arusha. A pre-trek briefing will cover essential trekking guidelines, sustainable practices, and an introduction to Kilimanjaro’s ecosystem.
Day 2: Moshi/Arusha – Umbwe Gate (1,640m) – Umbwe Cave Camp (2,850m)
After breakfast, transfer to Umbwe Gate, where you will receive an overview of conservation efforts in the area. Begin your steep ascent through the rainforest, with insights into the region’s biodiversity and wildlife. Trekking for 5-6 hours, you will arrive at Umbwe Cave Camp, where you will stay at an eco-conscious campsite using sustainable waste management systems.
Day 3: Umbwe Cave Camp (2,850m) – Barranco Camp (3,950m)
