6-Day Shira Route Group Tour 2025–2026 | Kilimanjaro Climb
The 6-Day Shira Route Kilimanjaro Climb is one of the most unique and scenic approaches to Africa’s highest peak. Starting at the Shira Plateau (3,500m), this route provides breathtaking panoramas right from the beginning, unlike other routes that require days of trekking to reach such heights. Though shorter in duration, the Shira Route is considered more challenging due to its higher starting altitude, making it best suited for trekkers with prior high-altitude experience or strong fitness levels.
In 2025–2026, Macpace Tours & Safaris invites climbers to join our group tours via the Shira Route, where adventurers from around the world come together to share the excitement of conquering Kilimanjaro. This 6-day itinerary takes you across diverse landscapes, from the expansive Shira Plateau and volcanic rock formations near Lava Tower to the famous Barranco Wall and the snowcapped summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Group climbs ensure affordability, camaraderie, and encouragement, while our professional guides, porters, and cooks handle every detail of your journey.
Choosing the Shira Route means discovering Kilimanjaro’s western wilderness in a way few climbers experience. With awe-inspiring views, rich geological features, and a rewarding summit push, this group adventure promises a once-in-a-lifetime achievement in the 2025–2026 climbing seasons.
